Youth Programs
Providing Opportunities for Youth
Youth$ave
Youth$ave is a financial education course for kids 9-18 that teaches many essential financial skills and how to achieve their goals. It’s a program that pays your child to save money! Youth attend bi-weekly classes during the school year, earn community service credits, and make deposits at least monthly to their savings account. REACH matches their savings and helps them purchase their artistic, athletic, educational or entrepreneurial goal.
“I learned how to save money and how not to be an impulsive buyer.”
~Emonni, 11 yrs old

School Supply Giveaway
Before the beginning of the school year, REACH hosts a School Supply Giveaway. Each fall, families sign up to receive needed school supplies. Keep watch in the summer for an announcement in the HomeFront.
REACH’s Summer Camp Guide
Every year, REACH partners with dozens of local summer camps to bring our residents good summer fun at amazing discounts. The best way to keep up to date with current summer camp info is right here. Information for 2010 camps will be added as it becomes available. Some information will also be in the HomeFront newsletter.
REACH will be holding 2 group application days where kids and parents can come together to print and fill out camp forms, discuss camp options and have any questions answered. Learn more.
Additional camp information can be found at the following two web sites:
www.metro-parent.com/summer-camps
www.oregonlive.com/ospecials
Please note: REACH does not endorse any camps; all are suggestions and you must check them out on your own to ensure a safe and fun summer.
We would like your feedback and any suggestions for next year’s guide.
